The Gravity: GNSS positioning module by DFRobot is designed to support various Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) including BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, and others. It offers essential timing and positioning functions for the smooth operation of devices. This module delivers precise position data such as longitude, latitude, altitude, and time in a fast and efficient manner.
Compared to traditional single GPS positioning, the Gravity module utilizes a combination of multiple satellite systems, allowing for increased accuracy and faster positioning due to a larger number of visible and available satellites. This ensures reliable and precise performance even in challenging urban environments.
The GNSS positioning module features I2C and UART data outputs, making it compatible with popular main-controllers such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. It can be effectively utilized in various outdoor positioning scenarios, including vehicle navigation, handheld positioning trackers, item tracking, and weather stations.
